I think that our mattress was the culprit for my not feeling well. It was actually only manufactured a scant 2 weeks before we got it so hadn't had the chance to gas a lot before we got it. We'd been going out of our way to air it out, but ended up sort of redoubling our efforts at doing so (complete strip and pulling off the cotton pad that came with it) every day. The smell has definitely dropped and my headaches and nausea have done so too and today, the mattress has only faint odor and my head didn't hurt so there ya have it.:)  I'm glad because we've both been sleeping a lot better on this thing and I would have hated to have to return something I get a good night's sleep on.

After a *very* long downtime, I've picked my stitching back up so will likely be posting Sunday WIPs again. It rapidly became apparent that my needles callouses are *long* gone.  I have been enjoying doing it again.... I did have to pull it from the stand since it is a big piece and I wasn't reaching the top easily... likely the reason I stopped to begin with. I'm enjoying working on it quite a bit and I don't think it's going to take me horribly long to finish.

Made my first attempt with hot dog and hamburger buns that went over quite well. Pete declared that we wouldn't buy buns ever again. We have a limited amount of things we can buy anyway due to Pete's dairy allergy and they were ridiculously easy to make. I was pleased with the first try, but feel I can do even better.

Excellent weekend so far. Love time with the guys to begin with and and extra day is great.:)

We were! It was just manufactured on the 1st and we got it on the 13th. From the FAQ, it sounds like they expect it's warehoused for a while before you get it. We've also been walking on it, which I had read helped, but I think in this case it was simply a time thing.

I crack up every time Sam stands on the bed because he seems compelled to tread and watching him attempt to tread and walk at once it soooo funny.:)

Well, it sounds like it's finally aired out.

LOL. I'd almost pay for a video of Sam. Our old Westie was still alive when I got mine (wow, it's been that long?) and I put him on it when I was dogsitting once. He didn't like it.
