Life has been so very busy lately. Today, Pete and I got out for a little bit of Christmas shopping.   In addition, Pete was pleased to find a home for our moving boxes.   Now there is a bunch more space in the basement and a local is pleased to have saved the cost of moving boxes.

We had a visit with a good friend from Clarkson days ago couple of weekends ago.  He brought us a beautiful cutting board as a housewarming present. He adored the house.  I never mind hearing we have a lovely home. In fact, the visiting vet that came by told me that he thought our place was really charming and that made me like him better.;)

Christmas is coming so quickly. I kind of have my shopping figured out at this point  it seems to me I used to be better at this…to the point of having my shopping done by November  I just never know what to get anyone any more. At the  dry least, the village is up and looking lo lovely. The front windows are full of homemade snowflakes and a cling village.   I will start baking in a few days…we are as ready as we  can be I guess.

Lastly, I am so grateful to Pete’s employer for everything right  now.  We were finally able to get into a house because of them. Aaron’s loans are paid off now thanks to them.  we may be able to pay the house off in a few years, rather than 30. This month’s RSUs and bonus will take care of the next round of fixes, nicely pad the savings and allow for our biggest charity donation ever. It is nice to feel like an employer actually cares.

I think in all of the years I was employed there might have been one entity that felt like it cared a little more about the employees than the others but honestly, that might just be some nostalgia element taking over my brain as much as anything. I would love to see more of that happening for people and I'm definitely glad you guys have it and it's worked out so well for you!
