For the most part, we have been happy in the new place.  Our upstairs neighbors are the *worst* however; a divorced mom of two toddlers and she makes no attempts to parent them.  They scream for attention, the run around and make a ton of noise whenever they are home.  We complained and the management told us she was "mortified" which is pretty much bullshit.  When it continued, they asked for recordings which we gave them. She tried some nonsense of telling them she was doing all she could but there wasn't anything she could do to mitigate the noise.  Pete and I both got shades of Ned Flanders parents with that one. Her excuses didn't go over too well and now they are making her move to a first floor apartment. In the meantime, she is doing everything she can to be as noisy as possible on the way out.  Knowing she's leaving and only hurting herself with the behavior makes it so I don't go utterly bonkers as her children are screaming at the top of their lungs at 6am.

I am am on the tail end of a cold from hell that has been going around.  Pete had it a couple of weeks ago and I was happy to seemingly miss out on it.  Last week, I pushed pretty hard so we could have a clear weekend so it wasn't all chores while we were both home.  Friday morning, I felt a little off but not so much so that I didn't trek to Summit for future birthday stuff for Aaron.  By night, I was in the throes of the nastiest cold I have had in a while. I don't know if I picked it up on my extensive traveling about over the week or if it just had one hell of an incubation period.

Cookie decorating today.  I've cut the number of hearts I usually do in half this time.  Also, I concocted a strawberry sugar cookie so that I could up my game with these:
