Oct. 12th, 2010 09:10 amI am a spoiled girl. I just got an email from the spouse with tracking info for a purchase I refused to make for myself. It was something that I wanted, I just didn't want to spend the money despite repeated spousal assurances that it was something we could afford.
Despite my thoughts of the last closet cleaning being the last, I was wrong. My size 6 pants (or as I happily refer to them, my fat pants) are now so big as to be uncomfortable. I''m also going to have to replace every damn bra in the closet. The latter will not be cheap. Part of the problem is that Fantasie simply isn't the quality it used to be. It also doesn't help that I've reached a point in cup sizes where I'm still busty, but not so much that I need specialty brands any more. My latest underwear obsession is pricey french brands. As I said to the spouse, I may be jeans and tee shirt gal most of the time, but I do so love my frilly things.
I sent Pete in with most of a quadruple batch of doughnut muffins yesterday, in part for favor pay offs and in part because I just felt like baking on Sunday. They were gone by early afternoon.:) In two weeks, it'll be time for Halloween cookies. I bought some new cutters this year because my ghost cutter is huge and I can get better coverage for gifting with smaller. We were laughing because the black cat arching cutter also looks like a small, angry man carrying a very big ax. Pete is insisting I do at least a couple of them decorated as such.
I'm beginning to think that the parrot someone in one of the other buildings lost a couple of weeks ago is hanging out by the stream outside of our place. I haven't seen it yet (well, other than something big flying away) but I have heard some pretty strident squawking that is very out of place with the usual noises. I'll have to see if I can dig up the flyer and start keeping a better eye toward out back!
