Jun. 27th, 2010 06:52 pmAt the end of last summer, I ended up having to strip a lot of my lighter shirts out of the wardrobe due to fit. This pretty much left me with novelty t-shirts for lighter wear and 2 shirts that were suitable for wearing in a situation where I needed something nice. I didn't really think much of it yesterday until we were going to a good restaurant for lunch and walking into the closet left me at a loss as to what to wear. I rectified the situation with a bit of shopping and for the first time in... well, *ever*, I did it without looking at tags. Those of you who know me well know my reluctance to pay full price for anything I get for myself. I did offset that a little by going to Century 21 for part of my shopping because I'm still not going to pay full price for Tahari t-shirts.;)
Pulled out all size 8 pants for the closet. I'm pretending that the 6s aren't falling off me in order to get a little more time, but the fact of the matter is that I'm fairly firmly a 4 now. In some cases, I'm getting that telltale gap in the back that says I may need to think about 2s. I gotta tell ya, that's not something this former size 22/24 ever thought would happen. My thought when I started was that if I got to a 10 I'd be happy. My body says otherwise and since I'm not starving or depriving myself, I'm of the opinion that it's not an excessive loss. And let's face it... a 2 now is not the 2 of a decade ago.
Had a retailer send me double of something I ordered and when I told them about it, they were shocked I was honest. It's kind of sad that people don't expect that from people.
Well that was inane. Ah well.
