We cracked open a bottle of wine that we picked up from IWC while in NYC that was recommended by our wine pimp... though I think he would probably prefer if we called him a wine liaison. It was absolutely brilliant. I'm really pleased that we now have someone who can help us pick things out based on our tastes. While we were there, we also signed up for a wine club. I hadn't really intended to do so until fall, but we had a touch of room in the budget so it worked out. We are fairly entrenched in what we drink and this will help us expand what we like a bit.

I found myself buying new jeans today. I have gotten to the point where my 8s are no longer wearable and my 6s are showing the telltale gap that means I should be thinking about buying down. I realized that my jean brand of preference changed all of their labels so I had no idea what to get. Since Pete wanted to hit the Apple store, I tagged along to do some shopping of my own. I spent more than I would have liked in my wandering about the mall, but I think for the first time in some time, I did it without guilt.

Today I pulled out a shirt I bought ages ago that was my final piece of goal clothing. A month ago, it didn't fit me. Today, it was actually too big. I put this all to the yoga being added to the routine. I'm toning up fairly rapidly at this point. Pete pointed something out to me at the beginning of the week that had totally changed by the end. I am pleased. At some point, I should probably do  write up about my 8 year journey to where I am now.

I had a bit of an ego boost today. I treated myself a bit and bought the wallet to match my purse (when did I become *that* woman) and as the woman in the store was looking it up, she asked me if I was a mom or was going to be a mom because of some gift with purchase thing they were doing. I told her that I had been a mom for quite some time an had a 15 year old son. At that point, she looked at me and said "really?!" and then told me she had really had me pegged as a lot younger. I must confess, whether it was salesperson flattery or not, I didn't mind.:)

Yeah, I had a pair of 4s that were already fitting, but they were cut on the large side. Today's weren't as generous, so I guess that means I'm firmly a 4. As the saleperson was making some comment about it must be nice to be that size, I gave a sarcastic "yay vanity sizing" and then she tried to tell me there was no such thing.:)

I use a DVD "Dynamic Hatha Yoga" and I love it. I find it challenging but even as a a relative newbie, not so much I can't handle it. After 6 weeks of keeping 3 or more times week, it's been a *huge* push on the toning. The one thing that has been driving me nuts is the loose skin that goes with losing a lot and I've pleased with how much this has made a difference.
