Errr...

So I mentioned to the spouse that I was thinking about an e-book reader. The next thing I knew, he decided we should go to B&N and look at the Nook. I *hated* the Nook due to the flickering issue and it being completely unintuitive. We came back home and he handed me an Economist article to read about readers. After looking it over, w had a better idea of the pros and cons of the various readers. We read reviews on the Kindle and decided against it for several reasons. The iPad was right out because I'm not interested in a color reader and I don't need additional apps. Bet you didn't expect that from me given my nearly zealot behaviour about Apple since I got my MacBook Pro.;) I decided on the Sony reader and the next thing I knew, we were picking up one from a nearby Best Buy. So... that was a bit unexpected.

(Love it.)

I've had kindle one and two. I actually love them, liked the SD card slot on the one better, plus removable battery, but the two is sleeker. I looked at Sony's but they weren't Mac compatible at that time.

I have lots of rtf/pdf DRM free sci-fi if you want some emailed....

Cool, I may take you up on that.

I'm definitely glad the Sony went to being Mac compatible. It's a nice reader, and I do like that it's not proprietary.
