About a month ago, a discussion about failing hard drives in MacBook Pro machines on the Apple list at work led Pete to insist we get a Time Capsule for my machine. From the beginning, we had problems with it. Pete finally got it to work and once my MacBook was backed up, he tried to upgrade the OS. At that point, my machine decided it wasn't happy and stopped booting up. We took it to the nearest Apple store where they informed us the that the hard drive was on the way out. Yep, my machine was of the generation that had the bad drives. So they took it in and fixed it and I am happy that Pete is as stubborn as he is about things or I would have lost a considerable number of photos.

I've gotten all obsessive over a purse. I don't think I care to be that girly.... but it's so pretty. ::sigh:: Not buying it... don't need it. A year and a half ago, I didn't even carry one.

i have a 2nd HD in my PC....for all the stuff i don't want lost.

We have back ups of most stuff, but the mac stopped cooperating with the PC-based NAS. Such a pain.

I very rarely carry a purse. Come to think of it, I only do so when I'm in a dress or skirt and thus don't have "real" pockets. If I'm in pants, the driver's license and the debit card slip right in, and that's all I need, since I use long-wearing lipstick.

After I lost my iPhone to falling out of a pocket, I had to start thinking about it. Once I threw in the need for a small p&s camera, I was doomed. It has been far too handy to have one. The problem mostly now lies in my tendency to lean toward Coach.

Yeah, I've got a regular cell phone & don't carry a camera. I've got it easier. And hey, if you can afford Coach, buy Coach! You should have what you like. :)

Me, I haven't bought a purse in over 20 years; for some reason my stepmother tends to give me at least one a year. Some are hideous; some are nice. None have been what I'd buy for myself, but it seems wasteful not to use the ones I've been given.
