Northeast gal that I am, there comes a point every year where winterization starts to be on my mind. Especially since we are renters... no one takes care of a house once they have bought it around here. So today I will be getting out window kits, cursing how cheap the tape has gotten and using my hairdryer more in one day than I use it the rest of the year. Feline supervision, which totally isn't getting underfoot of the human, has already begun to take place.

Pete starts next Monday and is beyond excited. He had one person tell him they check to see if his messenger name for work is active every day. It is just good to see him happy. Of course, after 5 months of downtime with 3 1/2 months being paid for should make just about anyone have a better outlook.

Last Thursday, I had a friend show up out of the blue after pretty much ghosting me for 2 1/2 years and proceed to trauma dump on me. Not going into detail except to say it wasn’t pretty and it hit me harder than I would have liked. Once I was able to come up for air I realized just how much I have put into place for myself over the years. Be better, do better.

I have sold a little on ebay so far but for every sale I make there are 3 people offering me a pittance on auctions I have deliberately left with no offers accepted. Even more they think they are *entitled* to me giving them a break. My favorite so far is the person who just started collecting pots, loves my colors (I have 5 no one else has) and claimed they couldn’t afford what I was asking so maybe I would take 40% less? If it keeps up, I have a friend that does Mercari that swears it is better to deal with. Being in no hurry for a sale and having unique items helps and well, I don’t sell often but that doesn’t make me a fool.

I am going to go calm some cat nerves now. The girls are bickering and Jade has gone from her usual cheery self to being sad girl as she does when she and CC fight. On one hand, CC’s newfound social abilities are wonderful after 3 1/2 years of angry formerly abused Korat. On the other, thinking she should get all of the love and attention? Not as good. Oddly enough a little clicker training with them as a pair does tend to help this.

Oh! Pictures later but this year’s extract work is underway. Still have to deal with raspberry, blackberry and one more cherry. I am in no hurry for the vanilla extract work for now as I have vanilla sugar and backup caviar for the next batch and the Tahitian does better with a longer time anyway. Most people who we exchange gifts with will be getting heavily homemade this year since we did lose a piece of saving s to joblessness. At least it was savings and not getting into debt.:)

Enough rambling for now. Ttyl, my friends.
