I guess I start with “not dead” and share a photo.

Since I already bake, stitch and do photography, I ended up being a plant person over the course of the last year. Well, I also started milling my own flour but that just expands on the already existing baking hobby. Anyway…while in the past I have managed to have a decent green thumb outdoors, I have always been bad at indoor plants. Not any more.

If you click on the pic, in addition to seeing my (still surprising to me) thriving plants, my beloved mill is juuuuust peeking up in the back.

Now granted, the violets are not currently flowering, but one was recently. They tend to like to keep me guessing about light. I can have them all in the same spot and only one ever is going at best.I stay the hell away from succulents, after a bad run and a bacterial infection brought in from a supposedly reputable nursery. Mostly, I like the plants that vine. After a few of lessons on etsy  involving sellers with high stars and bad plants, I began to shy away from cuttings. I now have 9 different kinds of pothos. The 10th was lost in transit and therefore I consider it murdered by the post office. I have one philodendron which is the big drama queen of a plant spilling over the chair backs.  I'm not a "plant parent" and I'm not over the moon crazy about plants now. Instead I am a plant steward who has learned how to pay attention to my charges and have found that a planted home really is more pleasant to be in. In the upstairs realm of spousal office and son too long in my home, plants do not thrive and there is static. In the downstairs, these plants are spread throughout and static is unheard of.:)

Okay, so I finally checked in. At some point, I shall have to tell the tale of C.C. our adopted during a power outage/height of pandemic badly abused feline. She's much better now and is a once in a lifetime kinda cat.
