Happy New Year
So, this is the final plant shot as it were. I have no plans to add more than what I have unless a wish plant comes up with my local-ish nursery. What really gets me about this picture is that the plants are happy and healthy after all of my care of them.:) So in there are 12 pothos of (mostly) different varieties....Golden, Global Green,Cebu Blue, Neon, N'Joy, Snow, Pearls&Jade, Silver Scindapsus, Marble, Manjula, Scindapsis Exotica and lastly Jessenia. I consider it as mostly 12 as Snow and Marble are the same with differing exposures to sun as far as I can tell. The one to the right heading to the floor is my Scindapsus Exotica and trails to the floor even when hanging from the ceiling! There are also a couple of philodendrons (Brasil and Micans), 6 Anthuriums, 3 snake plants, 3 Fittonia, a ponytail palm (actually some sort of asparagus) and a watermelon pepperomia. And I have learned, never ever bring any supposed easy care succulent into this house because it *will* die. Pete's supposition is that the problems we have in this rental make it bad for that kind of plant. I just think that cacti and the like just don't like me.:)
Also on the docket for this year is house hunting. The time has come. Not here mind you but in a place where the same sort of house will cost is about 1/3 of what it would here! Pete doesn't have to go into the office and there is no expectation that will change at this point. We have a realtor and a decent down payment. I definitely can't come up with the same here in Bergen County. Plus, if I were to be honest this part of NJ has been my absolute least favorite to live in.
Life feels a lot like picking up a bit lately, but it is a good sort. If we can keep this up, we shall have our first house before the age of 60.;)
