(no subject)

For the first time in ages, I'm actually writing an entry from the office. I so rarely use the PC now and I'm finding myself trying to do everything in a Mac way as I work.:)

w-2s arrived yesterday so I spent a good deal of time crunching numbers. When it came back as being a high chance of audit, I figured what the heck, I was going to find receipts for my cameras and lenses and depreciate them. After all, they are the backbone of what I do.  I was sure to be as honest as honest could be about my personal use.  After I'd done that, it dropped to a low chance of being audited! So I get more money back *and* I bettered my chances not having an audit?  Yeah, that was a win-win I wasn't expecting. Once I had the taxes done, I kept working on the long-term budget and contending with the office and business filing and the next thing I knew, Aaron was home and I'd somehow skipped lunch.

A great big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] piowapuff for finding Randy on FB! I was so thrilled to see his name when you added him. It's been like 4 years since I've heard from him and that was only briefly. It'll be nice to reconnect and find out how things are now.

That's definitely a win-win! I need to do mine but it's just a basic "fill in the numbers" return and I tend to keep putting it off since it's "easy" instead of buckling down and filling in the numbers! :)

Hehe. Yeah, it doesn't often happen that way, does it.

I was absurdly thrilled with the fact that ADP finally made the W-2 accessible by Intuit so I got to skip the tedious filling in and then checking it over a few times to see if it's right.:)

Yes, yay for Randy!

I actually hooked back up with him because I was going to look at his old (way old, it turns out) AOL web site and it was no longer there, so I emailed him and found he had the same email. It's so great to see how he and Anne are!
