I'm having one of those days where want to do and need to do are at war with each other. I can usually shake off the "want to" part of it, but the fact is I *ache* today and that makes it that much harder to get motivated. I think it may be the deliberate slow down/adding time to the rowing that's making me feel this way. It's also making me absurdly ravenous post-exercise. I'm glad to see signs that changing the routine is making a difference but I'm also looking forward to not feeling like I could devour a side of beef after going 8 miles.

Maia's turn for a bath today. This will be so much easier than bathing the Sam cat. For the first time since our first cat Moppet, a cat managed to escape the tub. He doesn't *tense* before he jumps and the fact that he's so powerful on his jumps made it so he managed to leap past me and take what seemed like half the water from the tub with him. I managed to wrestle him back for the rinse and he's now a much better smelling cat. Sprite will be Friday... not looking forward to that. She's the biggest pain to deal with due to her size and extreme furriness. It does help my allergies to do one a day when the time comes though. No more itching like mad by the time the last one goes in the tub.

I leave you now with a macro I took with the D-Lux last night. I love my little p&s for the little quickie fun shots. The needle in the picture actually snapped a short time after I took the picture. I'm brutal on any needles that aren't platinum!

I have those days all the time!

When we used to bathe our cats, my dad wore an old beat up leather jacket, because my cats would claw and bite like crazy.

I don't have too much issues with biting or clawing. I start them out pretty young with the bathing though. About the worst I get is a blustering calico. She acts pretty tough but never follows through.:)

Thanks! I snapped the needle not long after I took the picture. I'm such a brute.
