Feb. 21st, 2011 01:12 pmYesterday, Pete and I had been talking about how we don't take advantage of our proximity to NYC nearly as much as we should. This morning when I was reading Neil Gaiman's blog about how he will be hosting Selected Shorts in April. So... Pete likes Selected Shorts quite a bit (as do I) and I'm a big Gaiman fan. Guess what I'm doing in April?:D
Another good weekend. We've managed to balance the need to do with a lot of good time together. Today, we had a lovely breakfast of sourdough pancakes and I'm currently in the midst of doing a couple of loaves of bread. Homemade buffalo chicken pizza tonight. Whenever Pete has even the slightest bit of extra time, we tend to get a little more elaborate with the cooking. As a matter of fact, he put an amazing dinner together last night. We do like our good meals.
More snow. Sam loves it. Pete took him out for a bit of snuffling about while I rowed. For a while after he came in, he was extra pink and all worked up. He ran about for a while, meowing at the top of his lungs. Perhaps later we will take him outside again.
Well, Pete is home from picking up a battery for the car... have I mentioned how much I hate GM Saturns any more? So many things going wrong with this vehicle. He's going to swap out the battery while I get a couple of things done around the house. Afterwards, we'll take advantage of the afternoon of freedom in some way or another!
